The Blount County Schools Family Resource Center was created to provide assistance and support to families in which there is an identified need.
Goals of the Family Resource Center
- To provide information and support to the families of at-risk youth
enabling them to have a successful educational and social experience.
- To network with community programs enabling students and families to
obtain services, thereby assisting them in becoming productive citizens.
- To assist parents in obtaining parenting information and support through
home visits with one-on-one assistance and referral to ongoing community
programs. Parents will be encouraged to become involved in their
child’s school program and participate in school activities.
- To assist teachers and administrators in becoming more aware of available community resources and how to access these services.

HomeSource Covid-19 Housing Assistance Program
Through
a grant from the State of Tennessee, HomeSource East Tennessee is able
to provide assistance to homeowners and renters in East Tennessee. The
assistance will be in the form of a direct payment to your mortgage
company, landlord, or utility company.
